Clos Des Centenaires La Mourvache

This wine is a 50/50 blend of Mourvedre and Grenache, hence the name 'Mourv-ache'. Coming from Costières de Nîmes, one of the Rhone valley's best kept secrets, this wine has a warm, very friendly feel to it that we, and everyone who has tasted it, finds more than appealing. That doesn’t mean it is “simple”, to the contrary. It just means there are no hard edges and it has its own complexity and charm.
Boasting a dark ruby purple color, there are stunning notes of cassis, black fig, cherry tobacco and hints of vanilla. On the palate, the fresh fruit flavors continue with long, lip-smacking blackberry tones. A final overlay of raspberry cream, vanilla and black pepper cap off the silky finish. Big, bold, and beautiful all while being wonderfully accessible, this is a knockout!
